Fractions of a memory long forgotten. How it came to be, i can't recall. Storing up a cellar for the rapture, that certain episode that we did love, and we would laugh together. A river as dried and dusted as the desert. A tire swing immensely oversized. I've seen mountains, and a few significant islands in my time. I am so accustomed to the tired taste of David's on a drive to somewhere not so far away. Its all I've got to stay awake when I am on the road. Just like a ranger comin home to hang his keys. It's no surprise to anyone that you've left your phone somewhere again. It's not that I forget whos callin' me when I feel this sudden breeze comin home to roost some strange foreign place. When the flatscreen shatters into several thousand pieces would tell me I am dreaming? and that all of this was some scripture long ago? Legend has it there were 50 men outside the temple just awaiting my command. I wouldn't wish that pressure on the shoulders of a friend. I cannot start to understand this plan. For a moment there I wasn't breathing, I was not who I am. No surprise to anyone that you've left your phone somewhere again. It's not that I forget who's callin me when I feel this sudden breeze coming home to roost some strange foreign place.
